Welcome to the second post for of WIP Week, where we check in on what’s happening with my current works-in-progress.
Our WIP for the day was written as a very rough draft in November; what started as a high-concept story about an evil creative-writing teacher has turned into a sweet chick-lit story about a graduate student who finds herself – literally and figuratively – rewriting the story of her own life. Like its predecessor, Her Name is Veronica, this manuscript reached 50,000 words with a plot that made no sense; unlike the aforementioned story, however, it was developed with the support of brilliant writing partners who have helped me in choosing a viable direction for the story. Without further ado, here’s this year’s candidate for Manuscript Most Likely to Get Published in This Lifetime.
